Maggie Throup today joined FSB Members at their monthly Breakfast Meeting and presented a seminar: 'Marketing - Making it Work!'.
Maggie said: "Many business owners carry out their marketing in an ad hoc manner, without a planned approach, no set budget and no audit. There is no mystery to marketing, however planning is paramount and embracing new methodologies is vital in this fast moving business world.
"With 80% of business coming from 20% of our clients, it is vital to implement effective communications with our all-important clients. Just chasing new business isn't the way to market our products and services.
"Businesses that continue to invest in marketing during difficult times will be the ones bigger and stronger in the good times."
